Most gamers probably already know about this, but maybe you're like me, who didn't know Games Done Quick existed until SGDQ2015.
So! There's an event going on right now called Awesome Games Done Quick. It's a week-long marathon where they speedrun games and raise money to cure cancer. HECK YEAH.

As I am currently typing this, they're setting up for a Super Mario Maker blind run! AWESOME. After that's gonna be Super Mario World.
Tomorrow night they're doing Paper Mario 64, and Friday night they're gonna do Ocarina of Time followed by Majora's Mask followed by Super Mario Galaxy followed by, a few events later, 200cc Mario Kart 8. I'm staying up all night.

The kicked off the week with a Splatoon speedrun, and later that day did Diddy Kong Racing, then Super Mario Kart for the SNES. And, of course the obligatory Mario 64 race.
If you like games, you should check this event out because it's amazing and kinda stupefying to see games broken for the sake of speed like this. It's pretty cool.
